Speaking through her social media platform, Rosa Ree said that the red eye disease that has actually infected some of them in Tanzania, including herself, can be contained by cleaning the eyes with strong water with salt and painkillers when the head aches or when you get cold.

She also went on to suggest that all children who have been affected by the red eye disease outbreak be suspended from school or don’t go at all until the outbreak passes, as they might just be endangering themselves and also those who have not yet been affected.

“It would be nice if kids were suspended from school until this wind passed. Because when they go to school, they infect them or are infected by their peers. Usually it is said that it lasts up to seven days.” Rosa Ree’s statement read:.

Through a series of videos shared online by the Tanzanian artist, Rosa Ree is seen showing her red eyes as well as a couple of children who have been affected, claiming that they are not faking, and it is something serious that needs urgent attention.

On January 15, 2024, Tanzanians were alerted that there’s an outbreak of eye disease that has left more than 800 people hospitalized; hence, they were advised to take precautions over the same.

Rosa Ree did a video explaining the situation, describing the red eye disease outbreak that has affected her and her family, and urging the public to take precautions over the same, advising the public to keep clean and sanitize at all times.

“There’s actually an outbreak of the red eye disease that has struck me together with my family; as you can see, my eyes are red. It is so serious to the point that sometimes you’ll need to face down so that you don’t feel pain. Sanitize and keep safe, guys.” Rosa Ree explained.
