Lang’ata Member of Parliament Phelix Odiwour, famously known as ‘Jalas, has responded to Andrew Kibe’s message.
Speaking to the press, he said that anyone and everyone is welcome to challenge for the seat, adding that the people who have the power to choose their leader are the people of Lang’ata, and he looks forward to seeing him try it.
“Political seats are open for anyone; anyone can compete any day… But it is the people of Lang’ata who will decide who their MP will be.”
He also talked about the reason why he normally trends: because of his stature that he built way back then and the fact that he inspires and makes a difference. Another thing he added that made him be in the spotlight was that he worked with the President against his party.
Asked If he is a traitor, he dismissed the claims, saying that he is just doing what the constitution says one should do and that everybody has met the President before, but it only becomes a big deal when he does something he says doesn’t sound right.
Jalang’o said that he is still in ODM and nothing has changed. Speaking of the 2027 elections, he said that he will still walk in confidently and leave it to the people of Lang’ata to decide. Adding that people’s perceptions will not break him.
