American media personality Kourtney Kardashian has shared the experience she underwent after undergoing fetal surgery.
Sharing the information through her social media page, she told the public that she had undergone an urgent fetal surgery that wasn’t an easy one considering the fact that she was carrying a life inside her.
For starters, fetal surgery is a procedure performed on an unborn baby in the uterus to treat congenital abnormalities. And it is done when the fetus has a life-threatening defect.
Kourtney, 44, extended her appreciation to her husband Travis, 47, who was alongside her the whole time she was in treatment and taking care of their children as well. She also called out and thanked the dedicated, hardworking doctors who were working tirelessly to see that her child was saved, not forgetting her mom, who stood by her all the time.
“I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life. I am eternally grateful to my husband, who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterward. And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this.”
The reality TV star highlighted the matter, saying that as someone who has had a couple of successful pregnancies back then, she expected at the very least that such an incident would happen to her. Even so, she congratulated all mothers out there and thanked heaven for seeing her and her baby through the whole situation.
“As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery. I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear.
“I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant. Praise be to God. Walking out of the hospital with my baby boy in my tummy and safe was the truest blessing.”
Her husband, Travis, confirmed the news and assured the public that his wife was recuperating and that his tour would resume on Friday.
