ZIIKI MEDIA RESPONDS TO BAHATI’S ALLEGATIONS

Published on

Ziiki Media released a statement addressing Bahati’s claims, saying that they will not take ownership of the allegations laid down by the gospel artist and assuring the public that they didn’t take part in the unjust act that Bahati is claiming.

Kevin Bahati

“We refer to the unfortunate post on Instagram by one of our artists, Kevin Kioko, a.k.a. Bahati, from Kenya. Bahati has claimed in his post that Ziiki Media has ‘hacked” his YouTube channel, taken down one of his songs “illegally, and referred to the company as “fraudsters”, without any explanation or substance to such an incriminating statement.

We vehemently deny the statement made by Bahati in the above post in its entirety and do not wish to dignify such brazen lies by explaining any further at this stage.” Ziiki’s statement read:

They went on urging the gospel artist to seek forgiveness and asking him to bring down the defamatory message that he had already fed to the public.

Ziiki Media clarified that they have been distributing Bahati’s music since October 2020, in accordance with legally binding contracts signed by both parties. Like any contractual agreement between two parties.

According to Bahati, Ziiki media pulled down his music video Diana from YouTube, on which he had collaborated alongside Rwandan artist Bruce Melodie.

It was when Bahati went to his page and shared the below message, claiming that they were being mistreated as artists and accusing Ziiki Media.

“Another YouTube strike? Now, Ziiki Media people have gone ahead and removed #Diana feat. @BruceMelodie from @Diana_Marua’s YouTube channel! Dear fellow musicians, just like Harmonize told us, these people are malicious. They are here to mistreat our musicians.”

Even so, the above claims have been dismissed and regarded as fake by Ziiki Media.
