Yesu Wa Tongaren has listed the things that the DCI officers have investigated from him and in his church.
He said that the first question that the DCI asked him as part of the investigation was, If the children are going to school or not, something that turns out they got Eliud schools his children.
The second question that he was asked is if they are visiting the hospital, which he answered saying that they do, referring to a bible verse saying that Doctors have been appointed by God to serve, and they work hand in hand with the Lord for they treat and the lord heals.
“Nikasema Hospitali huwa tunaenda maana ni baadhi ya maandiko……
Yanayo sema, mpe daktari heshima yako yote maana kipawa alicho nacho ametoa kwa mungu…….Naye daktari anatibu na mungu hua anaponya.”
The third question he was asked is if his religion abuses drugs… Something that he dismissed, saying that his church doesn’t tolerate such, and they are living healthily, including him.
The fourth question was how he makes a living… he responded, saying that he is only able to do so by God’s grace. He has 7 acres that he said that he normally digs and has a couple of cattle.
The fifth question was that if he has an account where his congregants send money to, he refused, saying he has none.
He then spoke about the origin of his name, (Yesu Wa Tongaren) saying that he was given that by the lord
“Hilo jina nipewa na mungu mwenyewe. Si utani.”
He lastly urged church leaders to adhere to God’s law and do what’s right.
Yesu Wa Tongaren is still under investigation and has been allowed to go home after the first phase of his investigation ended at Bungoma Police post.
