Talented actress Winnie Bwire, known for her role as Dida in popular TV show ‘Sultana’, tragically passed away. She succumbed to her illness in Istanbul, Turkey, where she was undergoing treatment.
Bwire’s body was repatriated to Kenya on Sunday, September 8, arriving at Pandya Hospital Mortuary. Her parents, who had accompanied her to Turkey, were overwhelmed with grief at the loss of their beloved daughter.

Winnie Bwire will be laid to rest in her ancestral home in Western Kenya, on a date yet to be announced. Her family shared the news of her passing on Thursday, September 5, revealing that she had battled Ductal Carcinoma In Situ (DCIS) for two years.
