Kenyan Artist Willy Paul has been awarded a golden plaque for reaching a million plus subscribers.

The “Umeme” hitmaker took to his social media informing his fans of the good news, thanking the fans for the love and support they have shown all through.

“Thank you, @YouTube, for the gift, this is well received! I just received my 1,000,000 subs award from@YouTube……. Thank you for the love and support.”

Willy Paul took the opportunity to do a video to address an issue that has been making headlines about a blogger who was doubting his success, terming it as fake.

Willy Paul said that he had already reached a million subscribers 5 months back then, only that he chose to keep it a secret because he doesn’t like showing off, but considering the way the blogger was going out there advocating that he has fake subscribers he had to let the public know of his achievement.
