Kenyan artist Willy Paul has been released from the Karuri Police Station, where he was detained early today.

Willy Paul, who walked out of the police station under tight security, was seen wearing a yellow hood covering himself, and he didn’t take any time to say anything to the press; he was just escorted out of the police station. And our team covering the story was advised to stand back.

Again, this is a developing story, and we will keep you posted should Willy Paul share anything concerning the abrupt arrest that took place earlier today at his premises.

Kenyan artist Weezdom happened to be among the few close artists that turned up at the police station and shared with us what transpired to Willy Paul being arrested.

Weezdom said that he received a call from Willy Paul alerting him that his premises were surrounded by policemen, and he advised him to cooperate with them.

He then followed Willy up to the station, the reason being that Willy has always supported him, and he opted to do exactly the same.

“Mimi nimekuja juu Willy Paul aliniambia njoo nimeshikwa na nimpelekwa Karuri… Nimekuja juu amenishow ako kwa noma… na yeye aliwahi show up for me wakati nilipelekwa Kasarani.” Weezdom shared.

In his words, he said that Willy Paul and Kevin Bahati should sit together and settle their differences; apparently, Bahati is behind Willy Paul’s abrupt arrest.

“Ni regrettable sana kuona brothers wakiwa na differences; these are people who have shared plates; these are people who have shared everything.” Weezdom shared.

He promised he is willing to make sure the two talked out their differences and make amends so that they could both get back to working together and live freely.

He pointed out, however, that this is an issue that can be worked out in court, and they don’t really need to involve the authorities, hence the reason they have seen to it that Willy Paul’s released.
