Citizen Tv Presenter, and News anchor Willis Raburu has remembered the departure of his late grandfather.
His Grandfather who was known as Willis Edwin Opiyo Otondi served among the Council of Elders as he was the Chairperson.
The cause of his death is not yet well known.
Earlier today, Willis has reflected on instances where he embraced his late grandfather’s wise sayings and moments they had together, adding that he misses each and every second they were together.
“This one Hits Different and hurts! My grandfather, he who I am named after, Ker Willis Opiyo Otondi! How can it be though that just yesterday we were talking and today….”
Willis then Recalled the Good moments he spent with his Grandfather and acknowledged his powerful presence and promised to always bear the name and promised to honor his legacy.
“I remember how you used to joke and tell me, “Don’t play around with my name” always well-spoken, always speaking your mind. Always strict. Yet gentle. An infectious laugh and smile. Hi stood your ground. You cared for us all and wanted to be involved in our lives. As the chair of the Luo Council of Elders, you also made your mark. I live to honor your legacy and memory by carrying forth your name! I am blessed and honored to continue with the name Willis Edwin Opiyo Otindo. Rest in Power “Ndungu” I will miss you!”
