Kenyan media personality Willis Raburu has joined TV 47 after announcing his exit from Citizen TV.
Speaking through his page, he shared a video saying that he is ushering in a new era.
“Welcome to the new journey… The wait is over! Announcing my partnership with TV 47 Kenya! WABEBE!”
Willis had initially hinted that he had moved on to big, great things, but nobody really thought about what his next stop would be.
Willis Raburu used to work at Citizen, where he could sometimes host the morning breakfast show as well as his popular show called 10/10, which used to air every Friday at 10 p.m. It was this very show that made Raburu rise to fame and his name recognized. There have been notable faces that have been on the contender’s list, including former radio host Kamene Goro, Oga Obinna, and recently NRG radio host Aziza Hashim, who wanted to replace Willis Raburu, but as it stands, none of the above has been lucky enough to get the spot.
Willis is just one of the few journalists that have had another opportunity to prove their worthiness, having had a long list of other news presenters and radio hosts leave their posts in the name of contract termination and UN-agreed terms.
TV 47 is a news broadcasting channel that is among Kenya’s fastest-growing TV stations and focuses on untold stories from across the country.
Now everybody awaits to see the segment that Willis Raburu will be working on.
