Social media influencer Murugi Munyi has announced the closure of her popular fashion venture, Wild By Murugi, in a move she says will help her realign with new personal and professional goals.
Munyi, an influencer, award winner, launched Wild By Murugi with a keen entrepreneurial spirit and an initial investment of approximately Sh2 million. The venture quickly garnered attention from her extensive social media following, leading to its expansion to a larger location at Green House Mall along Ngong’ Road.
Munyi also acknowledged that her staff had noticed her growing detachment from the business, and the announcement to close did not catch them by surprise.
She has committed to assisting her employees in finding new job opportunities, highlighting that many business owners often commend her for having recruited exceptionally skilled staff. She also expresses confidence that her team members will secure new positions given their strong professional reputations.
In a heartfelt statement, Munyi shared, “When I started Wild By Murugi, I was driven by a strong passion and had the time to dedicate to the business. The support from my followers was overwhelming, and the success of the venture surpassed my expectations.”
