WHAT SOL FEST WAS
Kenyans on the 17th of December, 2022, were treated to a night of great music and live performances by their favorite artists during the Sol Festival held at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC).
Artists that took the stage at the event include rappers Juliani & Octopizzo, African Pop Star Nadia Mukami, Fena Gitu, Sol Generation’s Nviiri The Story Teller & Bien Soul, South African amapiano star Costa Titch, Harmonize and Matata.
Erick Omondi who had been previously banned from attending made an entrance with isikuti band playing the famous Luhya song Sena Lwanyi accompanied by a group of people who danced to the fine tunes as they walked to KICC. According to sources he was denied entry but was later allowed in and could be seen with his girlfriend Lynne at the VIP section jamming to the music.
However, the attendees lamented over a short performance by Sauti Sol who got on stage at 3.05 and only lasted for about 37 minutes according to them.
