Kenyan artist and brand ambassador Akothee, has dismissed claims that in order for one to ascend to heaven they will need to fast for a couple of days without food and water.
Speaking through her Instagram page, she said that the Shakahola tragedy led by their leader Pastor Mackenzie, is all a myth that will never come true.
She gave an example referring to the bible saying that the lord that the pastor claims he fasted fed his disciples and ensured that they had eaten to their full and under no circumstance did he leave them to fast to death unlike Mackenzie who is doing the same.
“Binadamu hamchoki kuchokesha… Yesu huyu mmoja alilisha watu wake mikate mitano na samaki wawili.
Wewe hapa wakuja na mihubiri yako ya misituni watu walkose kula walale njaa ili wamwone yesu. Wewe uliskia wapy.”
She went on saying that If going to heaven entails she stays without food then she’d rather not go because she cannot go without food.
Currently Pastor Mackenzie is being held in police custody for being responsible for the death of more than 50 people who lost their lives believing in his prophecies.
The DCI went ahead and arrested pastor Ezekiel as well whom they also felt that he is linked with the Shakahola tragedy.
Investigations are still ongoing and the police will update the public on the outcome of the proceedings.
