Popular radio host and former actress Wilbroda Nyaminde has shared some advice with internet sensation Bradley Mtall, commonly known as ‘The Gen Z Goliath’, urging him to remain composed and capitalize on his fame rather than flourishing in what he is getting.
Highlights
- Wilbroda advises Bradley Mtall to remain composed despite being famous
- Bradley’s mother shares frustration to her son Bradley for ignoring him
- Wilbroda weighs in on the need for Bradley to make amends with his mother
During her Milele FM show today, Wilbroda shared her concerns about Bradley’s rapid rise to popularity, warning him about the fleeting nature of internet stardom.
She acknowledged his newfound success and the excitement that comes with it, but she also warned him about the fleeting nature of fame. Wilbroda wanted to ensure Bradley understood that success is a window of opportunity that doesn’t stay open forever.
She particularly pointed out the specifics that Bradley has done, which is having fun with Kenyan celebrities by taking photos with them to grow his brand, something Wilbroda described as ‘irrelevancy’.
“Nataka kuongea na huyu kijana who has become a sudden celebrity, Bradley Mtall, nafikiri huyu kijana ako na mbio sana. Hii kitu mara amepiga picha na Sandra Dacha, Terence nafikiri it is exciting him na anajiona ni kama amekua celebrity…nataka kumwambia ya kwamba ako mbali na ucelebrityy ako mbali sana.” Wilbroda started off.
Why Fame can be short lived
The Former Papa Shirandula Actress Wilbroda reminded Bradley that fame can be short-lived, especially in Kenya, where people are quick to move on pretty fast if you don’t keep them glued.
She encouraged Bradley to focus on building a solid foundation while the spotlight was still on him. This means not just enjoying the attention but strategically thinking about how to leverage it for long-term growth.
She shared an example of activist Kasmuel Mcoure, who is slowly disappearing from the limelight because he might have missed out on the important aspect he should have capitalized on.
“And you will be very shocked. Vile wakenya wanasonga haraka sana, just before Bradley, there was Kasmuel Mcoure, who was being interviewed at every radio station. Si unaona saa hii anaenda kama anafade, inaisha.”
Wakenya excitement inakuanga kwa muda mfupi hii excitement isimuingie, ajipeleke pole pole hutu tusuit anashonewa na tu viatu tusi muexcite.” Wilbroda shared.
Wilbroda’s plea to Bradley to Make amends with his mother
In as much as Wilbroda was advising Bradley and calling him out, her primary concern really lied on his relationship with his mother—the fact that Bradley refused to pick up his mother’s phone calls just because the mother never used to help him when he was broke didn’t sit right with her.
Being a mother, Wilbroda knows a thing or two concerning parenthood and life, which is why she urged Bradley Mtall to consider making amends with his mother because she is the only person who will always call him his without turning.
“Mama yake amelalamika akisema Bradley siku hizi hashiki simu zangu Bradley naye ansema, as if yeye alikua anachukua simu zangu time yenye nilikua nimesota… Sasa hizi week mbili zenye umejulikana ni pesa gani hii yenye sasa umetengeneza? Lemmie tell you Kenyans will drop you like hot potatoes. Take yourself slowly.
Kama kuna kuna mahali mama yako alikukosea, this is the time ya kuleta mama yako karibu, huyu mama akikuekea mkono na akuombee baraka zinaanza kukumiminikia. Unaongea aje ni kama unaongelelea girlfriend hata kama kulikua na those small misunderstandings; kindly make amends with your mother; you will need her in the long run.”Wilbroda said.

End Result
Wilbroda made it clear, live on air, that should Bradley fail to do as she has advised him to, come next month he will be nowhere to be seen.
“I can tell you for sure that huyu kijana by next month Bradley will be no where; kuna kitu kipya kitakua kimekuja na wewe tutakusahau.” Wilbroda said:
It is now up to Bradley to make up his mind whether he will do as asked; we can’t really tell that is up to him now.
