Kenya’s most followed celebrity couples, ‘The Bahatis,’ have finally explained why their anticipated wedding has not taken place yet, despite them having made it public that they were going to tie the knot soon.
We caught up with the dupo at the ‘Obby’s’ events in Villa Rosa Kempinski Nairobi. Bahati dimissed the memories of the ones who were on the wrong, blaming it all on his wife Diana, who had always felt uncomfortable and unsure on when they would be tying the knot.
“We had planned the wedding on the 20th of October, which was our anniversary, but Diana has been postponing; it is not me anymore. She is talking of a date in Februray; I’ve been announcing then I look like a clout chaser. Let her decide the date now.” Bahati said:

Diana Marua, on the other hand, who was alongside her husband at the time, defended herself, admitting that weddings do indeed make her nervous, which is why she keeps postponing, adding that she feels she is not entirely ready, leave alone being mentally prepared over the same. She is most certain that she will announce the wedding date soon enough, when she will have had the confidence to face it all.
“To be honest, weddings give me butterflies. We were having the same discussion, I think, a day ago, and he asked me why I keep postponing Namwambia. I just want to be ready…
I think this is something I am mentally unprepared for, but I am working towards it, maybe sometime now, sometime next year.” Diana Marua explained.
