Last week, President Ruto declared a three-day mourning of CDF Fred Ogolla after learning about his untimely death during a plane crash that claimed 9 more individuals.
Fred Ogolla’s family in particular, received numerous condolence messages after the death, with renowned leaders like Raila also joining.
The burial ceremony held over the weekend saw Ruto alongside other leaders, attend and give their sympathy speech.

However, Wajackoyah was denied entrance to the venue; leading to him engaging in a bitter rant during an interview with Limitless Media.
”Anyway, nimekuja matanga. Inaendelea kule ndani. Lakini wale wamealikwa ndio wameingia. Na hiyo ni sawa tu. Si mtoto wa Ruto ameingia? Mtoto wa Ruto can go in na Wajackoyah, third most powerful man in the country nakatazwa. Si hii ni upuzi hii? How can Ruto’s daughter be allowed to go in na Wajackoyah anafkuzwa?,” he angrily stated.
From his side, he belives being late doesn’t mean he should be restricted, adding that there were other people who weren’t invited but ended up being allowed in the premises.
Ogolla was laid to rest yesterday at his Alego home in Siaya County in a colourful ceremony complete with a 19-gun salute.
