News anchor Wahiga Mwaura has announced his exit from Citizen and revealed his next stop.
Mwaura leaves Citizen after serving for over a period of 14 years. He has also been involved in international and local events of which he thrived at it.
Through his social media account he has said that he will be joining BBC Africa a channel that’s known for its capability to compound news both locally and internationally.
“After 14 amazing years at Royal Media Services (Citizen tv) my time here has come to an end.
My next stop is @BBCNews@BBCAfrica specifically focus on Africa. I’ll share more details soon, but in the meantime, see you on my last episode of #News night at 9pm on @citizentvkenya.”
This is a big move for him and he looks to be following Larry Madowo’s footsteps whose also at CNN and has proved that Kenyan journalists are a great deal and they can deliver when given a chance to.
He will host his last show today at 9pm as he bids farewell ton his colleagues and fans.
To him this is a great opportunity and move as he will do everything to ensure he stands out.
