Vera Sidika denies allegations of getting married just to sire children

Published on

Kenyan socialite Vera Sidika has been turning heads with her recent divorce party. The lavish event, documented on social media, sparked debate among her followers, with some questioning the legitimacy of her marriage to singer Brown Mauzo.

Faced with skepticism, Vera took a bold step – she publicly shared her marriage certificate. This move addressed rumors suggesting she married Mauzo solely for his genetics, with the intention of having children.

Vera addresses critics

Vera directly addressed her critics on social media, expressing her frustration at the accusations. “Why fabricate a legal marriage? What possible reward could there be?” she questioned. She further explained that her parents weren’t aware of the ceremony due to its private nature.

“They didn’t know because it wasn’t a wedding,” Vera clarified. “We had a Nikkah with a well-known Kenyan Sheikh. It all happened very quickly.”

Beyond the private ceremony, Vera fiercely shut down claims of using Mauzo solely for children. “You weren’t there, so hush!” she stated. “If I wanted kids, sperm banks exist – zero baby daddy drama. And I wouldn’t waste three years married just for children!”

To solidify her claims, Vera displayed a verified marriage certificate conducted under Islamic traditions. The document confirmed a three-year union between her and Mauzo.

“Let me be clear,” Vera declared, silencing the doubters.

Despite their three-year union, Vera and Mauzo ended their relationship in 2023. They share two children together and are co-parenting quite well. For now, Vera seems to be happy with her single life.
