Twitter has dismissed the blue badge on the Deputy President of Kenya’s account.
This happened over the weekend. The deputy president who has more than 500,000 followers has not said anything yet as per this and still uses his account the way it is.
Twitter had initially announced that anyone with the badge must pay $8 that’s equivalent to almost 1,000ksh and this is to happen every month.
The verified accounts were given a period of 90 days, after which action will be taken on them.
Quite a number of others with verified badges top celebrities have refused to oblige in doing so and we couldn’t expect anything less from the deputy President of Kenya even though he hasn’t talked about it, yet many know who he is when it comes to such matters.
They are many different opinions by people by what twitter has actually introduced, led by its CEO Elon Musk.
Elon Musk is still on with his many inventions and changes, as he has also been reported wanting to change the twitter name to be Titter. A move that has been criticized by many, but at the end of the day the CEO has the power and only him decides what goes and what stays.
The proceeding is in court and if it’s decided then Twitter will be something else than what you initially knew.
