Kenyan comedian and influencer Tom Daktari has narrated a dreadful experience he had with thugs who broke his car windows.
Speaking in an interview with Betty Kyallo, Tom Daktari, who was attacked by thugs, sustained an arm injury in the process, but thanks to his car windscreen, which reduced the impact of the stone that was thrown at him, he did not hurt his arm as much.
According to Tom Daktari, the attack happened when he was going back home from the protests in his car. That’s when he met the thugs on his way back home—the people he described as ‘unforgiving’ because he watched how they lifted a guy up and stole from him right in front of his eyes.
Why Tom Daktari decided to engage the thugs
Tom Daktari, who acted out of his own consciousness and anxiety, worried that he might be next, rolled down his car windows and decided to chat with the unknown individuals, whom he described as thugs, trying to ask them in a polite way if they wanted to grab something to drink up ahead. It was actually a way he thought he could use to show them that he really had no problem with them and opted that maybe by doing so they would spare him.
“Walinyonga mtu wakamuinua wakachukua simu, and then I see 7 of them wako mbele yangu, and you see I can’t just drive, so I tell myself let me slow down, and then I look at my left and right and call them.
I tell them, Hey guys, let’s go buy some water there or something. But nilikua nataka kuwaambia, so wasinirushie mawe.” Tom Daktari said.

Last Resort
The whole thing turned around when those who were far away thought that he was being stolen from and started throwing stones that ended up damaging his car.
He made up his mind to drive off after seeing one who approached him, wanting to take his iPhone from his pocket.
“Vile niliona anaendea iPhone yangu nikasema nikihesabu pesa ya hizi vioo haifikii iPhone yangu… nikasema ua viooo.
Vile niliona anaenda kuchukua simu nikakanyaga mafuta nikatoka, and then later nikaona mawe ndio inanifuata.” Tom Daktari said.
It was an experience he never expected would befall him, but as of now, he has healed nicely and is fine.
