Arbantone Artist Tipsy Gee has shared lessons he learned after being among the few artists who were misguided the first time they joined the entertainment industry.
Tipsy Gee admitted that during the inception of his career he was indeed taken advantage of because he was not well conversant with how things work, especially when it comes to being booked to go and perform to an audience, be it in clubs, parties, or events.
Tipsy Gee recalled a past incident when he was once conned by show promoters who used to use him to make money out of it in the name that they only wanted him to make a club appearance, something that was not true.
According to Tipsy Gee, show promoters would put their numbers instead of his and talk on his behalf, negotiate the price, and then afterwards reach out to him, offering him peanuts while they bag good money.
Inasmuch as this was a blow to Tipsy Gee, he admitted that it was very helpful, as it is through fumbling that one learns to take the right path. He made a decision from then that he will always make sure those who want to book him reach him with ease without having to struggle by making his personal number accessible to them so that he can also be apart of the negotiations that do happen when booking an artist.
