“This seems So Useless to me” ~ Vlogger Tom Criticizes the Security Protocol at the JKIA Entrance

A well-known vlogger named Tom has called out the Kenyan Security protocol, labeling it useless.

Speaking through his social media page, he has criticized the Kenyan way of doing security checkups, saying that Kenya’s way of doing it is different and irrelevant.

“This seems so useless to me!”

Through a video he recorded showing the security procedure, he showed his disconcern, saying that he has been to quite a couple of airports in the world and has never come across what is taking place in the JKIA.

“I have never seen this procedure before, and I have been to hundreds of airports around the world. But when you get to Jomo Kenyatta Airport in Nairobi, Kenya, you have to get out of our taxi to go through a scan and then get back into the car.”

Basically, the security procedure in JKIA is that when you get to the entrance, you leave your belongings in the car and walk through a scan machine where you are looked at to see if you have anything with you. After passing the scan machine, you again enter the car. To him, this will not help because if someone wanted to sneak in something illegal, they would leave it in the trunk and not go out with it, concluding that whichever means they are using will not work in preventing people, thugs, or even terrorists from sneaking in what they want to.

“I mean, when you bring something that is not allowed, you simply leave it in the car!? Or what.”
