Kenyans have responded to the increase of fuel prices calling out to the Kenya Kwanza Government to do something about it.
During the random interviews that we were holding earlier today with the help of our very own Betty Kithinji, Kenyans said that they are disappointed because with how the increase of fuel prices has affected their business especially the matatu and bodaboda guys who said that they are not getting more clients like they used to.
Speaking to one of the bodaboda guys, he said that he has lost clients because some even opt to walk home because they can’t be able to re adjust their daily spend that they always use.
“The business is not good because according to the way the prices are going up, people have opted to even start walking so that their budget can work with the way they had planned.”
Some said that the leaders should sit down and address the matter so that they don’t make life so unbearable considering they are still trying to deal with the high cost of living on food prices among other necessities.
Fuel prices have been increased slightly above the usual price. This has been seen in more than 20 counties now. The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) released new fuel prices on Sunday that they said will be in existence for the next 30 days. Petrol was increased by 3 Ksh, Diesel went up with and addition of 6Ksh while Kerosene increased with 15 more shillings. The new fuel prices will be in place in the next 30 days.
Below is an interview of some of the other reactions from the public.
