Earlier last Month, we came in reporting news of six primary school teachers from Kisii county who forced young pupils to demonstrate intimacy that’s done between couples. The 6 have been released on a bond of 500,000 each.
The teachers who forced young pupils to perform an unspeakable act which was clearly shown on the video that was captured which went on sparkling conversations online.
The six teachers namely, Everlyne Moraa, William Isuka, Druscilla Moraa, Angellica Joseph, Glady Kenyanya and Catherine Mokaya.
They were held accountable because of the morality that was seen in the video by the court prosecutor, who demanded that they are detained until the Investigation is over.
Their lawyer Edward Begi defended them by saying that they were accusing his clients on something that had not been justified yet and asked that they are set free.
“I ask this court to uphold the human rights of the respondents and release them on bail as the police conclude with Investigations.”
He also told the court that the case being of public interest is a statement of the bar, adding that after doing analyzation he didn’t find any place where the children’s right were being violated even in the constitution, thus declaring that they are innocent and should be released.
“The application does not highlight which rights of the children were violated, I ask the court to do away with this application.”
The 6 were then sent to Kisii law courts from Ogembo law court on Jurisdiction
The court Magistrate of Kisii Law Courts was told by the lawyers that they were under the jurisdiction of Ogembo and if they should be any ruling it should be from their initial court. They were then sent back to Ogembo where the decision was made, at which they were eventually released on bond of 500,000 each. The teachers did not plead guilty to causing any harm or cruelty to the young pupils and so they walked at a fee.
