Stevo was speaking in an interview we had with him, said that he fell on stage because he had not eaten, hence the reason why he lost it and collapsed on stage.
“Enyewe Kusema ukweli Hiyo siku sikua nimekula. Mniache tuh ni explain kidogo.” Stevo said.
The ‘Tuache Mihadarati’ hitmaker, who looked concerned and was in the mood to narrate the whole story, added that that day before he went on stage to perform, he didn’t have money, or rather, his team, didn’t have money to spare for food.
“Hiyo siku hatukua na kakitu kulikua na kakiporo fulani ilikua imebaki. Yaani ugali ilikua imelala.” Stevo told us.
In an attempt to keep going by narrating the other part of the story, his manager, Chingi, who was alongside him, cut him short, questioning Stevo’s response that they had not taken anything.
“Stevo…… Kusema tuh ukweli, hiyo Friday si mimi ndio nilipika?” Chingi asked Stevo in an attempt to show him that he was falling off track.
Stevo then reacted to Chingi, who was on his neck, by saying that he had taken something, only that there wasn’t an escort to take the stew that was there, as that was his plea on why he fell on stage.
“Kulikua na kitoweo lakini kiporo, Ugali.” Stevo responded to Chingi’s question.
Stevo Simple Boy had fallen on stage when performing on the 10/10 show Citizen; something many interpreted it was the stress that Stevo was in because his manager had left him.
