Stage Presence Media Company, headed by Edwin Butita, wishes the public and all Spm close partners a happy Madaraka day period.
Today on 1st June 2023, Kenya celebrates the 60th Madaraka day since it got independence back in the year 1963. Madaraka Day, also known as Self-Governance Day, is observed on June 1 every year in the Republic of Kenya.
This time round the celebrations were held at Embu County in Moi stadium spearheaded by the President of Kenya William Samoei Ruto alongside his deputy Rigathi Gachagua among other members of the Kenya Kwanza Government and other politicians and of course including the public that turned out in big numbers.
Celebrating Madaraka day is important because they remind us of our freedom that our fore fathers fought so hard to get. It’s also a way to unite Kenyans and tell them that at the end of the day we are one thing regardless of the gender, religion or tribe.
The celebrations kicked off as from 6:00am in the morning seeing more than 8,000 attend the celebrations.
