Kenyan digital content creator and entrepreneur Sharon K. Mwangi recently opened up about her faith journey, revealing how it has shaped her life and her work.
Sharon’s spiritual path began in 2018, during a particularly dark period marked by depression and personal challenges. Over the years, her faith has deepened, and in June 2024, she took a significant step by getting baptized—a moment that symbolized a new chapter of purpose and self-discovery in her life.
Reflecting on her spiritual journey, Sharon revealed that her decision to get baptized was rooted in a transformative experience from seven years ago.
“I gave my life to Christ on my bedroom floor,” she shared. “I had reached the end of myself after episodes of depression and suicidal thoughts. He took me out of the deepest, darkest pit I had dug myself into.” He dusted me off and gave me a new lease on life.”
This profound experience set the stage for Sharon’s spiritual rebirth, culminating in her baptism in June 2024.

Trusting God’s Plan
Since her baptism, many of Sharon’s followers have been curious about her next steps. In a candid interview with podcaster Just Angie, Sharon openly admitted that she’s unsure of what the future holds.
“Honestly, I have no idea,” she said with a laugh. “I feel like I am in a season where I’m just letting God lead me. I used to have plans, but now I’ve let everything go. I’m like, Okay, God, you tell me what you want to do.”
Sharon’s openness about her current season reflects a deep sense of surrender. She acknowledges that the plans she once had are no longer her focus, and instead, she is trusting God to guide her path.
“There were things I thought would happen, but God is showing me that’s not where we are going. So, I’m just trusting that He will reveal the next step when the time is right,” she added.
Challenges in Content Creation
As her faith journey has evolved, so has the content she creates. Sharon’s podcasts have become increasingly spiritual, and while this shift has inspired many, it has also led to criticism from some fans who preferred her previous content. Despite the pushback, Sharon remains steadfast in her mission to impact lives rather than chase views.
“I’m not going to put a muzzle on God,” she emphasized. “For me, it’s about the impact. Even if just one person leaves an episode feeling like they need to rethink some things or give God a chance, that’s enough for me. I’m more concerned about that than the number of views.”
A Return to Faith in Difficult Times
Sharon’s journey of faith began in 2018, but it wasn’t always smooth. She admits that she initially struggled to maintain her connection with God. “I didn’t care much about my faith until life started beating me,” she recalled.
One night, overwhelmed by her circumstances, Sharon prayed earnestly for divine help. “I asked God, if you exist, I need you to help me right now,” she recounted.
What followed was a powerful spiritual experience that reaffirmed her faith. “I felt a hug—something I can’t explain—and I got off the floor feeling lighter. I stood up and realized God is real. He exists,” she said. This experience gave her the strength to continue her journey with renewed hope and purpose.
Sharon K. Mwangi’s story is one of resilience, faith, and personal transformation. Despite the uncertainties and challenges, she remains committed to her spiritual journey, trusting that God will continue to guide her steps.
Through her content, Sharon hopes to inspire others to seek their own spiritual paths and experience the profound impact of faith.
