Former Vybez Radio presenter Shaffie Weru is set to make a comeback with his new show, ‘Shafted’ which will premiere on 30th January 2022.
Shaffie announced the exciting news through his Instagram by sharing a promo video of his new show, “Have you been Shafted? In 2021, Shaffie was fired from the Vybez Radio station alongside radio presenter Neville and DJ Joe Mfalme over alleged Gender-based violence utterances. They angered Kenyans with the discussion after which, Kenyans fired shots at the trio for pointing fingers instead of condemning the inhuman act that the lady in question was subjected to. They were later suspended but eventually fired and sued by Radio Africa over the remarks which caused an online uproar. Shaffie later came out to explain why he was really fired, saying it was not because of people’s opinions, “The reason I was fired you need to understand was never about the tweets or the people, it was about the companies that were spending money on me because I was a very big presenter. Their customers were the ones attacking me, so they also started attacking the companies.”
