Comedian Eric Omondi has been arrested for demonstrating outside parliament. How many times have you heard/read this statement? Well, Eric is becoming a nationwide hero for most people. But what’s the price of him going solo on demonstration? He gets arrested each and every time.
This time, he went to parliament with the aid of a horse, which was among the means of transport that police used in yesterday’s demonstrations.
Anyway, Eric was doing all this in resistance of the finance bill; which has been rejected by most Kenyans.
The bill received support from 204 members of parliament; while 105 of them turned it down.

Upon successful completion of the 2nd reading, Eric Omondi couldn’t eschew response to those who voted to support the bill.
He took to his Instagram to express his rage with them, citing that they can’t intimidate 54 million Kenyans. He further called for rejection of the bill, cititng that if the bill passes, there should me more demos.

The finance bill has roped in International responses, including chelsea superstar Cole Palmer; who supported the rejection of the bill.
