Delvin Mudigi popularly known as Savara, from one of the famous Kenyan Music band, Sauti sol was set to release his album on Sunday at the Nairobi Street Kitchen.
Speaking to Kiss FM. Savara said that for the first time fans will have to understand who he is and cannot wait to perform his 14-song album.
“Through my album people have understood who I am. It took me a year to do this album since it is a covid-19 baby and I think this is the first time people are going to understand who I am,” continued Savara, “I just wanna interact with fans, and especially with this album I am fascinated with how the fans are going to interact with the album. I want it to be like a fellowship because this is the first time I am performing for them.”
The album has featured various popular artists among them Nyashinski and Karun while the other songs were fully produced by Delvin.
The 14 track album cuts across love, anxiety, growth, excellence which he says explain his life story and what he has been through, according to him, fans will get to understand him.
The event that was organized by Radio Africa group and was much anticipated by fans as they all thirsted to have a taste of Savara’s music as for the first time, Savara went solo.
The rest of Sauti sol band were present as they came to bring in support to one of their own. The official launch of the album come days after he held a private listening party that brought together members of the fourth estate, musicians and fans.
Earlier last year, the band announced that its members will be pursuing solo careers which brought a lot of mixed reactions from the fans.
“There were a lot of talks about us when we decided to launch solo careers. A good number of our fans thought that this was the end for us, But the truth is, as individuals, we have unique talents that need to be explored at a personal level,” says Savara.
