Earlier yesterday Sauti Sol announced their disappointment on having to postpone their incoming show in Europe explaining the unavoidable travel delays.
They shared the news on their Instagram page, stating:
“It is with the utmost regret we have to once again postpone our shows in Europe. Despite applying in time, we are informed by the UK embassy that delays occasioned by the Ukraine Crisis have made it increasingly difficult to procure the necessary travel Visas in a timely manner. It is with heavy hearts that we disappoint our fans and only hope to make it up to everyone that looked forward to joining us. We are working with the UK venues and promoters to have the rescheduled dates announced next week when we have the word on when the UK visas will be granted,” they announced.
They also confirmed that all tickets will still remain valid.
There were mixed reactions from their fans who had eagerly waited for the show, however, others explained their understanding and their utmost support to the group.
Most fans were however disappointed as they had booked hotels and expressed their concerns about the failure of their refunds.
The group which has at all times has proven and given splendid shows had earlier announced on their social media pages for their upcoming 4-week European tour that was to see them traverse 10 countries.
The European tour was to kick off on the 1st of April in Barcelona, Spain and end in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
The group’s Uk and US tours were first called off last year as they were in the midst of Covid 19 pandemic forcing them to cancel 35 shows.
