Sandra Dacha Weighs in on the Future of Kenyan Film Industry

Kenyan actress Sandra Dacha, famously known for her exceptional acting skills, especially in ‘Auntie Boss’, has weighed in on what the future holds for Kenyan film makers.

Speaking to one of our journalists, she expressing optimism about the future of filmmaking. In a candid interview, Sandra discussed the transformative changes in the industry and highlighted the opportunities these changes present for emerging filmmakers, hinting that if all content creators and filmmakers are constant in what they’re doing, then the country will be competing with high-end filmmakers in the world.

In the next 5 years, we will be like Nigerians and Indians… Hollywood bado, but we will be somewhere in the next 5 years.” Sandra Dacha shared.

Sandra who has enjoyed a prolific career spanning over three decades, emphasized the democratization of filmmaking tools and platforms.

The actress also praised the growing diversity in film, both in front of and behind the camera. Calling out specific individuals who have ventured into film making saying it is the way to go.
