Samidoh and the entire Mugiithi fraterninty are in mourning following the untimely demise of Gibson Kioi Wairimu, better known by his stage name Kioi Junior.
The singer is said to have passed on Monday April 29 while receiving treatment at the KU Referral Hospital where he had been admitted.
Kioi Junior was not only a Mugiithi artist but a well known guitarist who often showed off his skills during live perfomances.

He was also known for his atheist believes that made him trend a while back after confessing that he did not believe in God nor Satan.
To him the Bible was just another novel from back in the day forced on today’s generation as the word of God.
I live as if there is no God and I don’t think people should lie to themselves. All I need is proof that either God or Satan exists. Faith is ignorance. Kioi once revealed.
Samidoh mourns singer
Having been part of Kamande wa Kioi’s band, Kioi was popularly known by many Mugiithi artists which explain Samidoh’s message.
Celebrating the life Kioi junior lived, Samidoh referred to him as a brother who mentored him while coming up in the music industry.
Reminiscing on times they spent in Githurai 44, Samidoh expressed heartache having lost a brother like him.
Today we mourn the loss of a brilliant songwriter and skilled guitarist. Personally, I’ve lost a brother and mentor whose presence has shaped my musical journey. Memories flood back of our time together at Githurai 44, bonding over records of githeri at Kwa Guchu. Your guidance, especially teaching me chords, will forever resonate in my music. Samidoh wrote.
Mugithi star Karangu wa Muraya also mourned the late Kioi who was a dear friend to him.
Rest in peace Kioi Junior, to my brother and friend Kamande wa Kioi, may Jehovah comfort you. He wrote.
