Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has celebrated his birthday by giving back to the World.
Sakaja who turns 38 today has been surprised by friends and family with flowers and cake as he heads to town.
Sakaja has already planted 38 trees today and has a target of wanting to reach, 3800 with the help of netizens.
The Governor was surprised in city hall by his deputy Governor Njoroge Muchiri who was amongst others.
In the photos, shared online, Sakaja is seen with a team dressed in reflectors surrounding him as they present him the cake and sing for him.
The Governor then decided to write something on his page concerning the day, thanking his deputy and extending the same gratitude to the entire city hall staff and the youths who showed to give their support.
“Deeply grateful to my deputy Njoroge Muchiri our CECMs, CCOs, the entire city hall staff, Nairobi Serena Hotel team, our partners and youth CBOs in all Sub Counties for joining me in planting trees throughout the city today.”
And then lastly he crowned with saying that this is the day they will reach a target of 3,800 trees.
“For my 38th, we are planting 3,800 trees today.”
His Deputy Governor also penned something for his superior, saying how grateful he was having to work with him.
“To the boss, your commitment, resolve and vision motivate us to consistently provide our best effort. We are grateful to have someone amazing like you in charge. Happy Birthday, indeed.”
Congratulatory messages are still coming in from people while he celebrates his birthday in this special, chosen way.
