The platform has been the most utilized when it comes to voicing out concerns. Most people have shared their sentiments to the president using X, and this has expedited his move to go ahead and use the platform to engage them. It’s important to note that the Gen Z’s have been on the frontline in the demonstrations that convinced Ruto to do away with the bill. They have been recognized far and wide to showing resilience & immense bravery.

In the conversation, Ruto is expected to also talk about corruption and opulence that has been showcased by members of parliament over the tough economic period.

Ruto is expected to talk about the future plans that he has to improve Kenya’s economy.

In response to claims by human rights organisations that 24 lives were lost during the protests, Ruto insisted that the official count is 19.

“I have no blood on my hands. According to the records I have, 19 people died. It’s very unfortunate, and in a democracy, that should not be part of our conversation,” he shared.

After Ruto’s interview, it was quite clear that a larger number of Kenyans were still not satisfied about his statements.
