Kenyan gospel artist Ringtone Apoko has shared the reason why he opted to commit suicide.
Speaking to the press, Ringtone opened up, saying that he did indeed have suicidal thoughts because KRG The Don dissed him.
“KRG should know sijawahi feels the lowest in my life. Kama hiyo siku KRG alinitukana kwangu baada ya kukula kwangu na hata hakujua hiyo pesa niliwafeed nayo niliitoa wapi.
I almost committed suicide that night because of Nilifeel Vibaya. Ringtone explained.
The ‘Tenda Wema‘ hitmaker said that he also doesn’t understand why KRG spoke ill of him, only that he wasn’t happy for him, and whatever KRG said really hit him hard, hinting that maybe he was jealousy because whatever he has, he worked hard for it, and KRG was just handed over and didn’t sweat for it.
He, however, responded to why he never ended up committing suicide, saying that he never wanted to give in to what the haters wanted, as that would’ve made them happy and that as a child of God, he shouldn’t show weakness, which is why he opted to soldier on and not succumb to public pressure.
“Hi mwaka sitaki beef nataka kua mtu wa upendo.Niliona nikicommit suicide nitakua nimewasaidia juu sasa mtakua mnaona ni kama mumeshinda, but nikaona God ndio aliniita, not haters nikaacha.” Ringtone explained.
