Young Reverend Victor Githu has talked about his trending video, saying that he did what he did because he wasn’t feeling well.

The young Reverend Victor Githu has reacted to reactions from Kenyans about why he couldn’t just get up and go fetch what he sent his mother.

In the video posted online, Rev. Victor was talking to his audience when he decided to send his mother to go and fetch water for him, and apparently his mother, without even questioning, stood up on her feet, marched, and came back carrying the water for the young reverend, who was busy preaching to his audience.

This video has generated mixed reactions online from different categories of people, with some criticizing him and others siding with him.

The young Reverend has said that he only sent his mother because the condition he was in couldn’t allow him to rise up and go for the water.

“To be completely honest, seeing these people react to the fact that I have said something wrong, we all need to understand the concept of the whole video. When I sent my mom to go get me water, I was not feeling well; my throat was a bit scratchy, and I couldn’t move because my hand was hurting, but I still had to do whatever I felt like doing, like preaching, and in fact, I used the word please in Swahili to say, Thank you.”

He goes on saying that even her mother wasn’t going to allow him to leave people stranded and go fetch water, something that she could’ve done. Adding that it is the circumstances, and he never does that when he is not preaching unless it’s something that needs immediate attendance, he has urged the public to not be judgmental and look at the main concept.

“My mom has given me permission to send her to get me something when I’m preaching. If I’m not preaching or doing anything important, I have no right to send her unless it’s an emergency. Before we all judge, I hope we all have an understanding of the main concept and context of the video. Thanks.”
