PROTESTS STILL ON AS CITIZEN’S JOURNALIST CAR RAIDED DURING COVERAGE SESSION.

Citizen’s Journalist Seth Olale has been attacked during Coverage of the Azimio Protests in Kibera Nairobi.

The protesters made away with his cameras, mobile phones and other valuables.

According to the pictures shared online by Seth Olale the car looks to have broken windows.

The Media group shared a video clip online that was narrating the whole incident as it went down that said they were raided by 20 youths in possession of sharp objects that then made them lose their valuables in the process because their attention was divided.

The people who attacked them were described as people who were just having their own intentions aside from being interested with the demonstrations.

This made the team to drive off, that is what lead to the breaking of their windows by Stones as this annoyed the youths who thought they could have their way to everything the team had.

The area around Mathare was blocked by security officers in the sense that there was no way to be made in and out of the place, making people start improvising other routes. This very people wanted to have their way to the Central Business District and cause more havoc, reason why they were being blocked from leaving their premises.

Although in the process, two other uncensored journalists were apprehended, the reason that’s behind their arrest is still to be confirmed though. This is according to the information shared by John Namu.

“Our @africauncensored journalists, Calvin Rock and Clint Obere, have been arrested by police while covering protests in Mathare. We aren’t sure where they are being taken at the moment… They need to be released NOW.”

Turns out, word reached to the head officers and saw the two Journalists set free.

The Azimio Leader Raila Odinga and his team had early announced that they will be having demonstrations twice a week due to public demand, which is Monday and Thursday until the President fulfill their grievances.

The team was holding a secret meeting to strategizing how they will hold their demonstrations.

They have just left and are now in Pursuit as they are at Kawangware their destination is still unknown but the Azimio Leader has made several stops addressing his gathering telling them that they shall not tire nor reiterate, and he is with his whole team, and they will keep moving.
