President William Ruto is set to engage the Gen Z’s in a candid conversation today. The conversation is expected to delve into matters relating to politics, unemployment, and ways of trying to increase revenue for the country.
Ruto, who’s joint interview with renowned journalists ended up being controversial, revealed that he was ready to engage netizens in a candid conversation to share thoughts and opinions.
”Whether it is Thursday, Friday… mkipangana mimi niko. “In the next one week, we must have this conversation in the space where you want. I am sending you guys, one of you to set up the space this week, maybe Thursday or Friday, why not? I will be there,” Ruto stated.

Ruto maintained that he was willing and ready to use any platform to engage Kenyans this week, especially young people.
“When I suggested the multi-sectoral approach, I thought we were going to organise ourselves and this is how we are going to participate. And by the way, I wanted the whole of that set up to be about by young people; civil society, young people; religious organisations, young people; professional bodies, young people,” Ruto added.
The conversation was expedited by the finance bill, which saw thousands of Kenyans take to the streets to reject it.
It was a matter of time before the president decided to withdraw the bill, considering how the demonstrations were getting out of hand with citizens losing their lives.
Ruto’s conversation with Kenyans is set to take place on X today at 2 pm to 5 pm.
