President William Ruto has nominated the first batch of Cabinet Secretaries to replace those dismissed from office on July 11, 2024, this is after the public realized that some Cabinet Secretaries were flaunting their money online.

The Head of State, who was addressing the nation from State House on Friday 2024, said the 11 nominations, including Attorney General, followed consultations across the political divide in an attempt to bring back peace and sanity to the country.

Below are the Cabinet Secretaries nominated by the President:

  1. Ministry of the Interior and National Administration, Prof. Kithure Kindiki
  2. Ministry of Health: Dr. Debra Mulonga Barasa
  3. Ministry of Lands, Public Works, Housing, and Urban Development, Alice Wahome
  4. Ministry of Education: Julius Migosi Ogamba
  5. Ministry of Defense: Aden Barre Duale
  6. Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, Dr. Andrew Mwihia Karanja

The President, however, directed that he will be giving a way forward on how the cabinet secretaries will be working and the deliverables they must meet.
