President William Samoei Ruto has directed the immediate cost cutting measures to reduce expenditure starting with his office and extending to the entire executive arm of Government.
President Ruto who said this while addressing the nation said that the move is aimed to give in to what the public wants so that the country is at peace.
“I am directing for immediate further austerity measures to reduce expenditure starting at the office of the President…operational expenditure be reduced to remove allocations for the confidential vote, renovations, travel, hospitality, purchase of motor vehicles and other expenditures.
This will cover the entire presidency and also the executive arm of Government.” President Ruto said.

He also proposed the parliament, Judiciary and County Government also undertake budget cuts so that they ensure each one of them live within their means and respect the loud message coming from the People of Kenya who want to be heard.
