Kenyan President and leader of Kenya Kwanza Coalition Government William Ruto has finally addressed the trending topic of why he has lost weight.
Speaking to the Press last night at State House, he told the public that losing weight is something that happened because of how up and down he was with the campaigns, and it should be nothing to get them off their seats as he is working on it.
He said that considering the way that the previous 2022 election period was, this made him readjust his normal routine on how he used to do things. Especially on his meals.
“I had an original fit that ran amok the last one and a half to two years. We went into elections, and you know when you have elections, there is a lot of pressure on food.
You have to do this and that, and you don’t have time to go and exercise, and sometimes you eat because you don’t know when you will get the next meal, and sometimes you over eat.”
He then lastly clarified the claims of weight loss, saying that it’s because of the task that he has at hand, which he described as a very challenging one.
“I decided to cut it down because ile kibarua niko nayo si kidogo. You need to be very alert to work better.”
The pictures that have been circulating online of him have raised quite a number of different opinions from the public, while some are saying that he is stressed. Others are stuck with encouraging him, saying that it’s the nature of work, as well as considering on how he is being pressured by the opposition leader and struggling day and night to bring the high cost of living down.
