Pope Francis has been diagnosed at Gemelli Hospital in Rome and found with a respiratory infection that will need him to stay inside for a couple of days.
This is a condition that affects parts of the body which are responsible in making the breathing system work swiftly by tampering with certain parts such as, throat, lungs and airways making breathing a problem.
His Spokesperson Matteo Bruni said that Pope Francis tests showed signs of a respiratory disease.
“The Results of these tests highlighted a respiratory infection that will require several days of appropriate hospital treatment.”
The 86-year-old had been scheduled for quite a number of events this Easter starting from tomorrow, which has unfortunately been cancelled.
The medical technicians have said that aside from that there’s nothing else that’s to be worried about as he will do just fine.
Nobody knows when the Pope will return, but his condition is stabilizing.
Medical history of Pope Francis in that very same hospital trades back to the year 2021 where he had undergone an Intestinal Surgery that took him a week and four days to recover.
Pope also suffered a Knee problem that lasted an entire year, which is the reason you have been seen him in a wheelchair. He was to undergo surgery, but he declined since he didn’t respond well to the previous surgery.
The 86-year-old has been receiving condolences messages, which he has really appreciated people wishing him a quick recovery.
