Detectives in Nakuru are looking into the death of a 22-year-old college student who reportedly died from injuries after being thrown out of a moving car.
Eileen Cherotich was a business student at Rift Valley Institute of Science and Technology who, unfortunately, died while returning home from a night out in Nakuru town.
According to reports, she had a disagreement with her boyfriend on the way home, which led to the shocking incident.
“They were having a drinking spree at a certain pub in Nakuru, and as they were going back, the deceased and his boyfriend had an argument inside the car.” The officer said.
The police officer attached to the investigation further explained that they were yet to determine whether she was pushed out of the vehicle or, conversely, whether she willingly jumped out on her own.
“All of a sudden, nobody knows what happened; the deceased was out of the vehicle. Whether she was thrown or whether she jumped on her own, we have not yet established,” the police officer said.

Eileen murder suspects are being detained.
Three suspects and a vehicle believed to have been used in the incident have been detained at the Nakuru West police station.
“Right now, we have the owner of the car and one of the girls who was in that vehicle,” the officer said.
The incident was not the first, as students at Rift Valley Institute had repeatedly complained about multiple cases of girls being taken away by older men.
Eileen’s body has been transferred to Nakuru County Referral Hospital.
