Kenyan Director and manager of Phil it Productions, commonly known as Philip Karanja, has talked about the new film in town called Mpakani.
Speaking to the press shortly after its premier at Baraza, he said that the vision of Phil it Productions is getting Kenyan stories to the public.
He talked about the Mpakani series cast, saying that the team went a step ahead by using real military security forces.
He shared a plan on how the film is going to be distributed, saying that they are going to use a ‘making noise strategy’ that entails partnering with online media channels, having a media tour with the casts, branding and having a media tour with the crew as well as use their social media platforms not forgetting the billboards.
Asked the secret to have your content be considered by Phil it Production, he responded saying that all that is required is basically having a conversation with them.
“Conversation honestly….there’s no set criteria to Have a good piece of content……let’s have a sit watch and see what we can do.”
He also shaded some light on the secret to selling content, which is having a whole marketing and strategic plan and even well organized budget so that it can sell.
Lastly, urged the Kenyan Government to give them room to expand their department and not tax them as it will affect them a great deal since they are working their way up.
