‘People tell me I’m gorgeous every day’-Elsa Majimbo defends her looks

Published on

Kenyan comedian Elsa Majimbo isn’t letting internet trolls get her down. In a recent TikTok video, she addressed comments calling her ugly, confidently asserting her own beauty.

“Let’s talk about my favorite insult: ‘you are ugly,'” she said, playfully dismissing the negativity.

Elsa highlighted the double standard of colorism, suggesting some dislike her simply for her dark skin. However, she embraces her heritage and refuses to let it define her.

While acknowledging beauty is subjective, she countered the negativity with a dose of self-assurance.

“I know I have people in real life and online who tell me I’m gorgeous every day,” she stated, adding, “Plus, I have mirrors!”

The video showcased her confidence, shutting down haters with a positive message of self-acceptance.

Elsa’s rise to fame

Elsa Majimbo is an epitome of ‘when Jesus says yes, nobody can say no’. She is living proof that when it’s your time to shine, no one can take that away from you.

The Kenyan comedian rose to fame in 2020 when she went viral for her skits and, before you knew it, she was an international star. Her videos got the attention of renowned artists like Rihanna, who now works with her to promote her products. Even though Elsa didn’t get much attention from Kenyans, South Africans were quite amused with her skits. She prefers staying abroad rather than Kenya.
