Kenyan pastor Dr. David Owuor, leader of the Ministry of Repentance and Holiness church, is facing criticism after a video surfaced online showing him claiming responsibility for bringing the coronavirus.
The undated video, circulating on TikTok, features Owuor delivering a sermon to a large crowd. In the clip, he warns Kenyans against “testing” him and asserts he has the power to destroy the nation, but has chosen to show grace instead.
“I am the one who brought the Coronavirus,” Owuor declares. “Look at how many people died at my word. Kenya, don’t try me. If I destroy you, I will destroy you completely. But for now, I am giving you grace.”
Owuor’s claims have ignited public outrage, with many Kenyans expressing frustration online. Pastor Owuor has been controversial over the years with his ‘propheciess’. He has roped in a massive following through his acts.
