The Paris 2024 Olympic Games opening ceremony has ignited controversy after a segment was perceived by many as a disrespectful parody of Leonardo da Vinci’s iconic “Last Supper” painting.
The scene featured drag queens, a naked singer, and a child, prompting widespread criticism from religious groups.
Organizers have since issued an apology, stating that the intent was to promote “community tolerance.” However, the inclusion of drag queens, a transgender model, and a naked performer in a context resembling a sacred Christian tableau has offended many viewers.
