Otile Brown addresses claims of poor performance at Raha Fest

Published

There’s no doubt that Otile is among the best of the best when it comes to making good music in East Africa.

He has garnered a huge fan base with his interesting music over the years; proving to be an epitome of zero to hero.

However, Otile was recently booed by fans while performing at Raha fest. The main reason was that many thought underperformed & therefore deserved to get out of the stage.

Otile responds

While Otile acknowledges the immense support he receives from fans, he has shown discontentment with how he was received on stage at the Raha Fest. In his defense, Otile shared through his Instagram live what transpired to make it seem like an underperformance.

He begins by clarifying that he walked backstage to get his IEM (In-ear monitors).  IEMs are devices used by musicians, audio engineers and audiophiles to listen to music or to hear a personal mix of vocals and stage instrumentation for live performance or recording studio mixing.

According to him, going backstage pissed a section of fans. But he later resumed with the show as planned.

Why Otile?

In the same IG live, Otile states that his rise to fame is being threatened by individuals who are trying to pull him down without reason.

While some said that he was poor on stage, Otile claims that his mannerism in movement on the stage was rehearsed before the performance & that’s why he seemed to be going both right & left direction while performing.

Either way, Otile called out haters & maintained that he’s still the best and he doesn’t care about the people who try to pull him down.
