Renowned journalist Olive Burrows has quit NTV after serving the station for 6 years.
The journalist’s exit was announced on Wednesday, May 8, during her last news broadcast at the station.
“It is the final day of our colleague Olive Burrows, and Olive, before you depart before you bid us farewell, we felt that it is important for us to appreciate what you meant to all of us here at Nation Media Group (NMG),” said her co-anchor ushering in several clips of her colleagues’ heartwarming farewell messages to her.

Olive’s goodbye
Olive took to her socials to inform her fans on the issue.
“This is not goodbye; it’s see you later,” she remarked. “You guys have been working your darnest to see me crying. I will wait for it to start raining then I’ll blame it on the sound.”
Olive quit the station just after Victoria Rubadiri’s exit from Citizen TV after 6 years. Her departure was announced by the Royal Media Services (RMS) Group Editorial Director Linus Kaikai. Kaikai said that while it was sad that she was leaving, but he remains proud of the work she has done at Citizen TV.
Burrows is rumoured to be Rubadiri’s replacement at Citizen TV. However, the rumour is yet to be confirmed.
